Here is a two page layout from a B&B that we went to. All the little squares on the left side are cut up pictures of different Christmas Trees that were on the grounds. These were a couple pages I finished over the weekend. A good way to use lots of pictures in a short time. I know the quality of this picture isn't great. But you get the idea. You will notice, the two focal point pictures on both these pages have a dual color mat.
This was an idea that my friend gave me the other night. Its a good way to use a lot of scrap paper. The original plan had buttons around the picture, but I used snow flake stickers instead. Also, all the scrap paper was supposed to form a design, instead, I just taped a bunch of pieces together until I had a full rectangle. Then flipped them over to see what design came out. :-) However you choose to do it, you can make a nice page with not a lot of effort. I framed in the picture with a Black Mat.
This one is a good way to use several pictures also and still get your journaling to fit. I got this idea out of a book I had, and the plan is to use all equal size square photos. Of course I didn't do that... But I was able to use my photos with out cutting any too small, and still fit my entire story from that week on the page. The lighter blue paper has a torn edge with some chalk to make it stand out. And the vertical picture is also matted in to make it stand out.
Now that I figured out how to do the white out stuff, I may load some more layouts, that anyone can use.
