Veg and I went to a great Festival today. It wasn't the kind that has all the blow up bouncy things and chaos (although they can be fun too)... This festival was related to spreading awareness about doing the right things for the Earth... Recycle, Reuse, kind of stuff. They have activities for the kids that are all education based.
And there is booth after booth selling crafts and goods, giving things away and educating people on everything from non-toxic household cleaners to composting and collecting rain water.
Veg's favorite thing about this festival is that all the Montessori Schools in the area join together and set up a booth.... He sat in there for 90 minutes the first time doing lessons, and over an hour when we came back around. Imagine a child loving their school so much that they want to attend on the weekends. These are the times that I know Montessori is right for him. He even ran in to a few of his friends today, which was extra special...
They even had Veg Friendly food at this festival, which I thought was Amazingly cool. Funny how simple things these days excite me so. ha ha
Oh.... and I will have to forgive that Healthfood store that set me in a frenzy this week, because they had a booth and were giving away free reusable shopping bags, $5 off coupons and Hard Cover health books.... Hmm? Maybe I can get past the fact that I won't be able to find anything there ever again, since my next trip will be $5 less.
