I came home to this giant box:
And I tore it open to find this Giant Mixing Mashing Smooshing Machine... notice the BASE alone is almost bigger then my ENTIRE Food Processor...
Then I put the food processor away for a very long nap..... And replaced the spot with my Vita-Mix
Houston, We have a problem!!!
IT Don't FIT! (guess, I'll just never put it away)
So you don't put this thing in the Dishwasher... No Sir! It is so fast that it creates its own dishwasher... Simply add water and soap... But not too much water or too much soap, which Hubby quickly learned the hard way.... (WHY Doesn't he ever listen to me)
After cleaning our bubbly mess, and introducing myself toMr. Vita-mix, I put him to work... I'm calling it Mr. because it just looks like it would be one...
First job on the agenda was Banana Ice Cream for my Vegman (added peanut butter and cocoa to mine and Hubby's ):
Then I had to try the juice making with this old orange:
And the finished product will be saved for Breakfast... Ooh La La:
And then I took these Raw Almonds, some Maple Syrup and Pecans:
And made this (some crunchy nut butter):
OH MY YUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've already skimmed through all the books they sent me, I've made three things and washed it four times... Can you possibly love a machine?
Oh Happy Blending Day!!! ... Should be a National Holiday Day... It should be a requirement that every human have one of these in their kitchen.
oh man oh man oh man I'm drooling over your machine. Did you like the banana whip?? Too funny how huge it is compared to your food processor.

I want one! I must have that banana ice cream recipe! And the nut butter!
I am trying to get into more local stuff here... you know, buy fruits and veggies (and meat, sorry!) that comes from somewhere close by and buy it from someone I can talk to who knows where it came from! I finally found a local source of grass-fed beef, yay!
NEWay! I want a VitaMix! I must go research and see how many pennies I have to save to get one!

Good for you Vicky on the local stuff. Even IF it is the carnivore variety. *smile*
As for the banana recipe... Its simple... Chop Bananas, stick them in a freezer container. Take them out of the freezer when they are frozen and put them in a good blender/food processor, then you have Ice Cream. Thats it! Don't need any other ingredients unless you want them.
I added a spoonful of cocoa powder and a spoonful of peanut butter to ours, and that was all... YUM!!
I haven't gotten to use it tonight and its staring at me... OK scratch that... just made a chocolate/mint dessert smoothie... Double yum!
As for the price... DON'T LOOK!!! ha ha... its insanely expensive, but I figured the savings from store purchases is worth it.
Melissa - maybe a baby gift from hubby is in order? ha ha...
And AU - As if this machine will ever see a Margarita. Hahahaha..
