This actually happened today (Saturday), but I'm scheduling this post to hit on Tuesday because I'm pretty sure it is going to be a busy week and I happen to have time right now to spread out some posts.
SO... I must tell you about this wonderful day and the kindness of a Stranger...
It was a Mom and Kid day, and my little love bug did as he always does at 7ish AM... "SWAK" Kiss right on the cheek, Good morning Mom.... And that is how it started!
We hit the Farmer's market and got there early enough for some wonderful finds.... Home to drop them off.
We played a little bit, did some bathroom business, and then hit a Restaurant for Soup(him) and Salad(me) Lunch... Then drove a long way to Veg's Favorite Putt Putt place.... I didn't want to go because of traffic, crowds, and money. I told him he would have to play by himself but I would walk... and he wasn't happy about that....
So he said a little prayer.. one for no traffic, no crowds, protection and fun.
Stopped for some Starbucks....Then Off for our adventure. When I suddenly decided to sneak off on a windy road to see where we would end up.... To both of our surprise, we missed an hour of traffic and landed right in front of his favorite Putt Putt... Who knew?
We parked our car in the ONLY spot available, and this very nice man walked up to us with Vouchers. Said they were done for the day and still had credits if we would like to use them.... FREE! Yes FREE... We both got to play...HOW cool is that?
Somehow we ended up picking the course with NO people on it... It was the only one not packed and we got 4 hole in ones! Never to be seen before or again. We had such a blast!!!
Then to the arcade, where Veg walked up to a game, stood in front of it, and 35 tickets started spitting out... We gave our tickets to another little boy for use... and went back to the car....
Then off to another adventure, where they had Target Shooting for free today... Coincidence? I think NOT!
Veg got to learn how to shoot a REAL Bow. He then says:
"Mom, don't worry! I'm not going to use this knowledge for killing, I'm going to live a Kind life"
*smile*
Our whole day was full of great things, and back home safely before dark... Just like Veg asked for!
It may be just me, but I think his prayers were answered!
