Saturday, I found myself alone for the whole day. "what to do, what to do?"
First I slept for a little bit.. then my plan was to go to the Farmer's Market on opening day. After that mostly just grocery shop and house chores. Wellllll, that isn't exactly how it went....
The Farmer's Market was void of any veggies by the time I got there, but plentiful in the plant department. So I got a few organic herb/flower plants and headed on my way.
5 stores later and the mall (can't stand the mall), I found myself on a journey for things hubs and Vegkid needed or wanted. Still no groceries though. Every where I stopped was a fail, couldn't find what I was looking for.
BUT... then I passed a garden nursery....and purchased a LOT of stuff:
I spent the rest of the day planting stuff... Because that is what you do when you have a lot of plants in the back of your car:
Soooo excited to pick these blueberries In fact I want two more which would line one side of our fence nicely.
Lots of Hanging Flowers:
Finally decided to use the barrel thing that has been sitting on my deck since Hubby brought it home 4+ years ago. He thought it would be good to hold stuff than never used it.
I decided it would be good to hold plants...
Down in the garden, I'm trying watermelon again Plus some peppers.
We also have the parsley, swiss chard and now Cilantro is starting to appear.
Turned out to be a wonderful day with lots of outdoor time. The funny thing is, I would have never ended up at the nursery had all prior shopping adventures gone smoothly.
Seeee... A reason for everything!! *wink*
