Only in our town could we have a flood warning and winter weather advisory on the same day.
It rained so much that some roads succumbed to rock/mud slides, houses and businesses flooded, a river even peaked.. and then it turned to snow.
Some people got inches upon inches. The mountains got a lot more.. here at the Veg homestead, we got enough to make a happy snow angel and my kiddo was quite pleased with that!
Then it rained some more, froze over, and we got a snow day from school making it a nice long weekend with the Martin Luther King Holiday.
When Veg discovered that his school was closed he ran through the house screaming.. "Its a snow day its a snow day, I don't have school, la la la" Have to say, I was almost as excited as he was. Even took off from CrossFit to have the entire day at home. Sooo much fun and so grateful for the opportunity to spend this time with him.
We stayed outside until the very last dribble had melted and then came in for an ICE AGE Movie marathon, which was perfect for an ice cold snow day, don't ya think?
