Interesting the twists and turns that life brings us..
Last year my brother said I would be competing for CrossFit in a year's time and I laughed at him saying... "OH NO I WON'T!"
He said I would be going to the Garage Games and I said "You're insane"... But almost a year in to my CrossFit experience, I signed up to be on a competitive team.
Where will it lead? I have NO IDEA. Will I really go to a competition? I just don't know. But I do know that I'll be surrounded every day by some of the most supportive and encouraging people I have ever met. And will learn a lot of new skills that will make me stronger in myself and in life. Along the way, I get to coach people on their food choices, keep them hydrated and share my passion for wellness. Couldn't have asked for a more perfect combination.
If I really do go to the Garage Games, I'll have to eat those words to my brother, but I have a long way to go before I can think about that. Coach says I'm strong enough to do what needs done, I just don't know it yet. *smile*
Hubs said I shouldn't do it because we don't know what the future holds. Well, we never know what the future holds but that is why we write a new page each day. Every morning that we wake up is like writing a new chapter.
In celebration of this new adventure, I stopped on my way home to chop a few inches off my wavy locks. 5 inches to be exact. I chopped them in the spring but they grew back already. Perfect length for a pony tail and not too long that it gets in the way!
It still goes POOF, so I'll be wearing it back lots but at least it is more manageable in this weather.
