A couple months ago, I was talking with a friend about how cool it would be to coach at our CrossFit boxes about food. To be that person that filled a gap in people's lives and change the way they think about what they eat.
About that same time, someone in my health coach group posted about taking risks. Putting yourself out there and just ASKING... So the next day I did just that. ASKED!!!
The rest is history as they say, and many of you who read this page know that I've been coaching for the past month. So what does that have to do with my fun week report?? Because yesterday was my last in the first series. Over 90 people have sat through my sessions. The response, feedback, and contacts made have been amazing.
My first CF personal coaching client starts tomorrow with a waiting list of 28 in the wings. Soon that program will be released to the masses and 28+ people will start filtering through. But even more exciting is the 13 more clinics that are now on the calendar, my wellness section of their newsletter has begun and watching transformations take place is absolutely the best thing ever.
As I switch from the planning to doing phase, there is a LOT of work to be done, but so worth it.
In other news, the Vegkid went on stage for the first time at his new school with over 100 people in the audience. Very proud of his class for putting on a great mini-production.
Another event at his school lead to us being put in teams to create the highest spaghetti tower with marshmallow on top using only a limited amount of supplies.
Much more tricky than it seems, let me tell ya!!
Vegkid and I have also been doing a lot more doodling with our iPad apps. He is creating stop motion films for school assignments, while I'm trying to learn how to draw...
He pulled out his drawing book to help me and turned to the cars page. He decided that drawing a Bug would be the easiest out of that chapter and they didn't have a Mini. So a Bug I did draw.
Granted, it doesn't look ANYTHING like the book's picture. I think I gave it two flat tires. When all was said and done, the Vegkid gave my little bug two thumbs up and said it was a very happy car. (guess he didn't notice the two flat tires)
Oh Back to CrossFit speak, I'm hitting my one year fitaversary there and this week is also my 15yr Vegiversary. What a fun combination these two things have been in my life.
I decided to sign up for the partner competition even though I still don't have a partner... But the coaches said they will match us up and if there is an odd number of people that they will pair us with a coach... Noooooooooo!!!!
On to more exciting things like FOOD, I've been experimenting with new recipes and this zucchini flourless brownie turned out to be Deelish:
Even the Spunkman has had a great week finding his spot of sunshine until the last bit is gone each day:
Which brings us to Sunday... no workout today and full of relaxation... Except while doing laundry, making meals, bathing the cute sunshine dog, cleaning the kitchen, bathroom and taking care of bills. But otherwise, PURE relaxation!!
And this wonderful week comes to an end...
