Every Year, I make and buy ornaments for our Advent Boxes. Veg opens them one by one and pops them on a special tree that is all his... Trick being, they have to be small enough to fit in the little doors.
This year, my crafting ability (or time) seemed to go out the window. And so I was lucky to get these done.. But thankfully, with this stash and all the ones I purchased (in cheap sets) we were able to fill all the boxes... And now I can relax with Christmas coming to a close:
First one was just a cut down and sanded tongue depressor, with rub on transfers...
This one was layers of paper and rub on transfers, then matted on to cardboard for the chipboard look.
Simple and quite ugly actually, but he liked it :-)
This one had me really excited. It was late last night after all the presents were wrapped, and I realized I missed the last ornament for the last day... Quick on my toes... Came up with this..
I found an old clip a friend gave me, then cut out some cardboard to make the "clip board"... Used card stock and pens to make my paper, then clipped it all together.
And there it was! A cute little clip board for his tree. The reason this one is special, is because he uses a clipboard at school this year. So it worked out perfect for this craft.
I cheated for this one, just a rub on transfer stuck to a clear plastic circle I had lying around from Scrapbook years of past. But hanging on the tree, he actually looks really cute.
And this one had a little help from Hubby in the Drawing Department. Matted on red card stock then stuck to some cardboard (still making my own chipboard), then a hole punch, and Voila! Ornament of the Cutest proportions.
These ornaments were certainly all last minute, and not as grand as year's past, but they did the trick and Veg enjoyed finding them each morning... So that is all that matters...
Hope you had a wonderful Christmas, and maybe even got a little Crafty!
