THANKS AND COFFEE

Some more crafting last night... I made these two cards and finished 5 Scrapbook Pages.... Woohoo... I may be all caught up with last years pictures and next years cards by the time this week comes to an end...

This card is actually done on off white card stock but for some reason looks white in the picture.  I even took these outside on a sunny day hoping to get better pics.  But NOPE they still come out with wrong colors.

This Coffee Card has a slit on the inside so I can stick a Coffee Gift Card inside.

LOTS OF CARDS

The Crafting bug is back and even better that I have the time to use it this weekend.... I'll start with the two Valentines Cards I made before Wednesday and then will show the other cards made yesterday... As always, bare with me on the colors in the photos not being quite and/or the quality... right click on them to enlarge if needed.

Hubby brought me a book home full of Stampin Ideas...  (I loaned the book and don't remember the name, but will post it as soon as I have it)... Anyway - it had this great pop-up or 3 dimensional suggestion.  Basically making a card inside of a card.  When you open in, this is the result.  Veg Loved this as a lunch box surprise on Valentine's Day.

This is another technique from that book called Ghosting... The paper is actually white.  But then I used Versamark ink to stamp the hearts.  And colored the card with Pink ink.  So this was the result!!  Its then centered on a Purple Card (which you can't see) with the matching hearts stamped and embossed and cut for the top.

Why make a Christmas Card in Feb.?  Ha, Why not?  I was playing with my new stamps from the Sale-a-bration that Stampin' Up has going on.

Father's Day Cards ---  Another thing Hubby brought me home was a box of stamps he found at a Thrift Store.  These stamps all came in that box and I immediately thought of Father's Day.  Not sure why...Since none of our Father's actually live near a lighthouse or beach or have a boat for that matter... but this card is the result. 

Making more use of my new Sale-a-bration Sets from Stampin' Up. Also using more versamark and embossing...

Showing Nee Nee how to emboss and we came up with this pretty card.

Ha... More use of my new Stampin' Up stuff... I ordered some punches and markers and paper, and of course the Sale-a-bration Stamps... 

Getting Some Mother's Day cards made early...And another chance to play with my punches.

This one actually deserves its own post... NeeNee decided she was going to craft with me last night.  So I got out the Stampin' Up Idea book and told her to look through and find a card she would like to make.  Then we'll figure out how to make it happen...  Well she picked the most IMPOSSIBLE card in the whole bunch and I think crumbled and tore and started over like 5 times... hee hee... But we worked together and came up with this little beauty... I had to give her my crafting speech 101 - "It doesn't have to be exactly like the picture.. Just use the picture for ideas and then make your own version, that is where the creativity comes in"  I actually give this speech to myself all the time, because I can't ever make my stuff look exactly like the picture.  Then I remember "Why should it"  I'm not the person that made the picture... Anyway, I love the way this came out, and I wouldn't have ever made a card like this had she not been here.  And very fun for NeeNee to be making cards with me... Think we'll be doing more of this before the week is over.

VALENTINES 2008 COMPLETE

Shewww... 32 cards DONE!!    I took a few 12x12 sheets of heavy scrapbook paper and cut them in to 4x6 cards.  Let Veg go to town with my crafty supplies... Along with our Hearts that we made over the weekend... and VOILA!!  32 Cards are Complete:

CARD CHALLENGE FEB 3

My friend saw a show on TV and thought these colors worked really well together during their retro promos... So she issued a challenge for this week...  And I accepted.... Took me all weekend to actually work on the card, but at least its done!!

My card looked much better the first time, but then I messed something up and had to cut it all out and start over... Which gave me a different back ground... but its still OK... The colors aren't true in this photo... But at least you get an idea for the design.

I actually used Navy, Orange, White and Black... But you can't tell in the picture... So just use your imagination!

And there isn't a single thing stamped on this page... Its all punches and scissors... FUN FUN:

THANKFUL BOARD BOOK

Who needs to buy chip board when you have lots of card board lying around....  I notice the perfect thickness for making my own chip board projects is the cardboard that packages Creative Memories Page Refills...  So this idea is using that cardboard, some scrap paper, on the spot pictures, scissors, an old key ring, the Cropadile, some glue and some glue dots.

But more importantly its using the idea that my friend sent me "to make a thankful journal for the kids" and my son's thankful thoughts...

The mission:

"Tell me what your thankful for, and we'll find pictures in magazines of those things to cut out and place in a book"

The Actual:

He ran through the house finding things the was thankful for and then we took pictures with our camera.  Thanks to digital technology, I loaded the pictures on my computer and then Veg printed them using my photo printer....  He then cut the pictures, while I cut the cardboard....  Here are the supplies (I forgot to put the scissors and cropadile in the supplies picture, so pretend they are there) and the end result....

By the way, he was thankful for the dogs, his bed, the curtains, and a few things he could see from his window outside... One was his stepping stone and the other was a tree....

PAPER AND GLUE HEARTS

I've been missing my Kidscraftweekly Newsletter, but I suppose its OK that she decided to take vacation  *smile*  Thankfully for me she came back with some GREAT ideas... Veg and I grabbed up the paper, glue, foamy brush and scissors as soon as I saw this one...  And here was our result....
