After creating the snow globe card last night, my friend said I should make a bunch more since I was in the groove... But I wasn't really IN A GROOVE! It took me FOREVER to make that card.
The snow men are hand cut and colored out of paper, and the globe alone took me like 30 minutes to cut the perfect shape from scratch without a template. THEN:
While looking at my Crafting Mess from last night, and beginning to clean it up:
I remembered that I had some left over rubber stamp material that I save from the StampinUp Stamps.. I also have a few wood blocks from my Crafty friend... And so I started cutting with my Sharpest scissors... And made this Little guy:
Stamped with white on black and decorated, he looks like this:
Its not much, but I'm excited for my first ever try at making my own stamps...
Of course Hubby said that Snowmen are supposed to have 3 circles. But mine only has 2.... So there!
Think, I'll enjoy using this little stamp for some Christmas Cards. Even if I don't make any more globes.
But just in case, I did use some old thin cardboard to make a template from my card. Next time, I can just trace that bad boy and be done!
Seems the Crafty Bug has bitten again. Wonder how long it will stick around?
