I was inspired by this ikat bag post and couldn't resist giving it a try!
Yes, I know it is supposed to be for kids, but no one would play with me today, sooo here is the result of my craftiness:
What a Fun Week for Crafts!

I have been making a ton of natural products out of the Do It Gorgeously
Problem is, I'm not a sewer. I can't sew on a button, let alone operate machinery to turn a T-Shirt in to shorts.
Insert Hubby! He has a Great Big T-Shirt and a sewing machine because he CAN sew.
I showed him the book, Grabbed one of his great big T-Shirts and Voila!
T-Shirt Shorts... How Awesomely Cool is that?? The band actually came from another shirt. Which provides the two tone! He cut up two shirts before figuring out the right dimensions to fit my Hiney. But then I got the blue band, so it worked out perfectly.
Such a great crafting week! *smile*
I think my crafting mojo is definitely back. At least for this short time. And Veg has been helping, But don't tell him that! He still thinks he is just drawing fun pictures.
My hope was to get another batch of cards out before Christmas, but since I'm too late, I may save these as a head start for next year. We also made a few thank you cards to go out after Christmas so at least I'm ahead there? As long as I remember to get them in the mail that is. AND, I finished my Mom's Scrap-booked Calendar, which I'm super excited about.
As for that last batch of Christmas cards that didnt' make it out? I'm thinking of throwing together a quick batch of New Years Cards instead. Hey, at least I'm still sending some cheer, even if it is in the New Year *smile* And a poet even!
You will see from this card stash that I'm still taking the simple route and you can tell by this post that I'm still enjoying myself.

That is a WHOLE lot of fun!! Let me tell ya!! Of course cleaning up this fun, is another story.
First, the Calendar, Here is a Sample page:
Some months are decked out in family photos, some just paper craft and stickers, but all the months have family birthdays and holidays identified. Each date is also manually placed as the Calendar kit was totally Blank and not pre-populated.
This has to be my favorite yet. I hope she likes it! And yes it will arrive after Christmas too. But in time for her Birthday, so I'm not getting upset about that.
Note: If you don't regularly read my other Blog and found this one, you wouldn't know that my Plan of late is to celebrate what I DO accomplish instead of focusing on all the things I haven't. Makes my plate seem a whole lot less full by doing that. And if I miss getting something out on time, I'm just happy that I finsihed it *smile*

So there ya have it! Another week with card making involved. They may not be fancy, but they were fun to make and I'm looking forward to making more.
Funny how changing the way I look at things, makes them more enjoyable.
Ok, It's probably been a year or a lot more since I did much in the Card making area.
But today I wanted to make some cards, and so I did. Using inspiration from Paper Crafts Magazine Holiday Issue and some new stamps.
Here was a big batch of Easy and fun Snow Man cards:
And others that were just as easy and fun to make.. Nothing fancy, but not a chore either.
Which was my goal... have fun or don't do it!
The Veg kid helped with some of these. He was so funny:
"You know Mom, I don't like to do crafts anymore because I'm too old. But if you have something simple I can help you with, I may be willing to do so"
Translation "I really want to do crafts but don't want you to think that I still like them"
*smile* needless to say, it was a fun day!
