My Scrapbook Buddy came over last night, and we broke our night time event record. I think it was 3:am before she left. But we had a cause this time. A MISSION, A FOCUS, A GOAL.... We were on a mission to complete as many short layouts as we could, only they weren't for us...
They were 6x8 layouts that all have this title "MY FIRST FOOTPRINTS" Then we decorate them any way we wanted. We then send them off to a lady that works in a Neonatal unit! She puts the teeny tiny baby footprints on to the scrapbook pages that we made and gives them to the families of the babies. It's a small way to help them remember the babies that don't survive and a joyous way to look back on those that did survive and see how far they came.
It was a pleasure to do these, however we thought they would be easy to whip out a bunch and they were actually quite complicated. Trying to find just the right embellishment for each layout. Trying to get the letters just right to make up the titles. All in all we got 12 pages done between the two of us.
So I consider that to be Successful. I'll post a picture before sending them off. And I'll try to find a link for the program in case any one else wants to participate.
Lil'Veg was a great sport last night considering I didn't pay him a whole lot of attention, But I think we all had a great time. He got to use lots of our scrapbook stuff, which is much more special then just normal paper, pens and stickers. :-) And us ladies found lots more to talk about and oh yes, can't forget the yummy Starbucks. It wouldn't be a Scrapbook night without that!
