Seems like I'm telling stories backwards today for some reason... Not sure why, but why not continue.
Last night and Last minute I called to see if SH wanted to come to the house for Scrapbooking. She ended up coming over and luckily, Veg and I had time to run around and clean most of our messes before she arrived.
The funny thing was that there was no agenda this time. Lil'Veg was needing much more attention then normal and SH found her self entertaining more then scrapping. For some reason her paper is "Much" better then his. and her Punches, stamps, and accessories are "much" better then Mommies. And of course he had to show her all his new things and tell all his stories before even entering the craft room. But I hope she still had fun. And I did find a moment to make some Peanut Butter covered Pretzels for SH to try. I think they were a hit, and were all gone by the time Hubby got a hold of them.
She decided to work on a Father's Day Book Card she was going to make... Only got as far as making the covers and printing some pictures. But it will be really cool when its done.
I decided to make a card for the Birthing Center (story to follow) and I did get that done but it was really simple. I also got all my pictures from the past month printed. So can't say it was a total loss in productivity.
So the Birthing Center Card... Why? Well, because in my opinion as stated before it is the greatest place in the world.... Not only can you have your baby your way, but they also will take care of you even if you don't have insurance. And they have fees that are based on total care that people can understand and afford. They also do for the community, offer clothes for Mom's to Be and Babies as well as infant supplies and gifts for people that can't afford those things. As for me, the more birth stories I hear these days, the more thankful I am for the experience I had. All of which wouldn't have been possible if not for the Center. We had a hard labor and scary couple hours after delivery, so I truly feel like I'm still here and with my family because of the people at that center!
I know I can never repay them, and no need to get in to details again, but I've been wondering lately if they really know how much they touch people's lives. I at least wanted them to know how much they did for me. So I decided a Thank you Card was in order. Some thing just to show that I remember them and am thankful for them being there when we brought our Lil'Veg in the world.
I cut out little index square prints from the past couple years of Lil'veg and just stuck them all to the top of a card. On the inside I wrote that "None of this would be possible if not for you"
That card idea is actually a good one for a Mother's Day, Father's Day, or anything else. Just to show someone you appreciate them for something special. The card was easy, especially if you already have the index prints.
I think that is all my updates for this week, Have a great Sunday and Happy Father's Day if your a Dad.
