Random Thought!

You know those cans of air that you use to blow out your keyboard and such?

How does the air get in to that can? 

HAVE YOU LOST YOUR MIND AGAIN?

Every day it seems for the past few months, Veg and I have been telling animal stories.... Some of them we make together are actually pretty good, I wish I'd write them down, but they always happen while I'm driving and therefore that would be a bad thing if I was writing them...  So alas, I forget them as soon as they are told.

Basically I start with "Once upon a time in a far away........."  and he picks the type of place.... then I say  "lived a...."

and he picks the type of animal that would live in that place. 

"Once upon a time in a far away jungle lived a monkey....."  for example... then he helps me make words through the story.

Then I make up a story about that animal off the top of my head.... Usually with a good moral in mind.  Like if he's not sleeping well, then our Monkey is having trouble sleeping.   

We've also talked about an Adopted bunny.....a duck that was bigger then all the other ducks....  A Lion that couldn't read yet... Ants that help each other no matter what.... Etc.   ..... Lately they have turned to "building stories".... Yes - Talking buildings.... but thats another post all together...

So anyway, after making up stories like this for several months, I'm starting to get burned out and my imagination is pretty much shot.... Last week he asked for another story and I told him that I was sorry, but I lost my Imagination....   So he found it in his shoe and gave it back to me.... Yup, didn't get out of that one!!!

Today I was more tired then normal and just didn't feel like doing stories.  So we get in the car and I explained that I didn't want to do stories tonight and he says "Why Mom, have you lost your mind again?"

Well Yes, but that too is another post!!!  *smile*

So he digs my mind out of his shoe and my imagination out of his hat.... When I said that I was just too tired for stories today, he found some energy drink in his finger to help me wake up....

In the end, he got another story.... I mean how can you pass up all that hard work... He found my Mind, my Imagination and whipped up some energy drink all within 5 minutes...

Now thats an imagination...  But would heeeee tell a story?  NOPE!  Had to be me....  Can't complain though...  He could be asking for much worse things then made up stories.   *smile*  Not to mention he found my lost mind.  Can't beat that!

CUPCAKES?

Hubby is now as addicted to my Vegan cupcakes as I am and actually helped me make a batch tonight.  He's been asking for 2 weeks and I couldn't find my mixer.  He said "I'll hand mix them if you'll make me a batch of those cupcakes" 

I could just picture him stirring until his arm fell off just to get these cupcakes.....  And then we found the hand mixer.... Veg came running in asking to help.  So there we are, all three of us making cupcakes in the Kitchen when the phone rings.  It was my MIL (mother-n-law)....

"What are you doing" she asks

<Making Cupcakes>

"Cupcakes?  for his school?"

<Nope, just making cupcakes>

"For the house?"

<Yup>

"Your really, just making cupcakes to eat at your house?"

<Yes we are>

"Well OK then"

Now I'm not sure why she was so surprised that we would make cupcakes just to eat at our house.. but she probably hasn't been in touch with the latest cupcake craze that is sweeping the nation... Ya No, its not just my house... NOPE... There are entire bakery's and web businesses and clothes and crafting supplies and books all dedicated to the VERY YUMMY CUPCAKE.... And the fact that I can make VEGAN ones when ever I wanna... Is a good thing!

I didn't have the heart to tell her that this was probably the 100th batch I've made since my sweet baker friend got me started with the Vegan Cupcake Cookbook....But I guess some secrets are better left untold!

CLEANING SPREE

Over the weekend, I decided having family fun, crafting and exercise time was much more important then cleaning the house.  And so I just didn't clean the house!  *smile*  I do that sometimes... hee hee... OK, I do that lots of times...  but shhhh.. don't tell anyone!

So yesterday I was determined to do a quick cleaning spree when I got home and get everything back in some resemblance of order.  Well it turns out my Hubby came home with the same frame of mind, because when I walked in he was Vacuuming the floors...  And before I new it, he was vacuuming the stairs...  What a nice surprise to be cleaning together and getting everything nice for the week....

Well as I'm doing everything that needs to be done (lots) running around like a wild banshee or a "cleaning tornado" is what I call my self in that mode... Hubby stops me to ask "Can you show me where all the corners are that need to be vacuumed"

Hmm?  Lets see.... There are about 4 corners in every square area, multiply that by all the square areas in the house and there are ALOT of corners... I'm sure if you look yourself, you may find them.  Granted I just have to give him credit for wanting to clean the corners, but I'm absotutely positive he doesn't need me to help find them.... 

So I explained "Just walk around and look for all the areas where two walls intersect and you will find a spot that needs to be vacuumed, I'm sure of it" 

Now.... this provided me much entertainment... Because while I was cleaning up a total of 5 rooms and the basement and making dinner, I would peak over to see hubby still trying to find corners to vacuum.... 

Who new cleaning could be so fun!  *smile*

HELPING OUT

Today was the day of the month that I get to help out at Veg's school.  I was only able to stay an hour this time, but was thrilled to be asked to help make their Valentine bags...

As always, I was able to observe some of the Elementary kids in action while working on my task.  And as always I enjoy what I see.  One of the other helping Mom's brought her baby (just old enough to begin walking) and this little guy made quite a mess of some things that he was given to play with.

The Mom quickly diverted his attention to something else and by the time two minutes had passed she went to clean up his mess, and it was gone... All Clean.  As if little elves had come in and taken care of everything. 

Only in this case it was the Elementary kids.  They all stopped what they were doing when they saw the mess on the floor and scurried over to clean it up.   With no one asking or telling them to, they just volunteered and worked together to get it all put away.  Then sat down, quietly got back to work.  Had I not seen this with my own eyes, I wouldn't have believed they'd ever left their work spaces.

One of them was busy working on a Cross Stitch, another was busy sketching a statue, Others making cards, and one came in to play instruments.  The multi-purpose room is such an eventful place for kids to learn what ever their minds desire.

And I'm so lucky to watch a small part of that each month while helping out at the same time.

BY GOLLY HE'S GOT IT

"Happy Wife, Happy Life"

Hubby brought home this Jeff Allen Bananas video and we watched it last weekend... The Comedian does a routine about "Happy Wife Happy Life"

And my Hubby is realizing this to be true in our home!!  *smile*  Today we were talking about something for Veg and he started to argue...  Knowing I'm right of course... He stops and says "You know what, your right... Do what you want... Happy Wife, Happy Life"

HA HA!!!   Now if only he remembers this for the next 40 years, we'll be all set!! 

NO BIRTHDAY PARTY

WOOHOO!!  Yes you read that correctly!  There will be no BIG PARTY!!!

His mind has been flip flopping between all school kids to just boys then back to all school kids... So I got the list and there are 26 kids in his class....  INSANE!!  Not that they have a big class, but that I actually agreed to having a party with that many kids...

Soooo yesterday, we had a talk, and basically if they all show up then we can't have the party where we wanted, which means I'm back to a big expensive shindig.  I told him that we couldn't afford to do presents AND a party... But he wants Legos...  Thats all...  At the end of the conversation All he wanted was LEGOS of the Starwars Variety!....  This I can do!!

And actually that isn't ALLL he wanted.... We are also going to go bowling with another family one day.  Then invite a school friend over for lunch on another day.  His Granparents will be here for several days, and he'll get LEGOS... Lots and Lots of LEGOS! 

To top it all off, he has a day off of school the same week for President's Day, He'll get to walk around the sun on his birthday at school, and his open house is that week as well.  So he will have an action packed special entire week instead of a 2 hour party!  He's pretty excited about this and said "Maybe I'll have a party when I turn 6"  AH!  We'll cross that bridge when we get to it!

Also I'm taking the whole week off work!  How FUN for all of us!!!

SOME FISH AND OTHER THINGS

I always feel bad going to these places wondering how horrible that would be if someone trapped me in a tank for everyone to look at for all of my days...  But then the other side of me thinks, if they didn't have places like this then people like us would never see these crazy creatures.  However, maybe that is the way it is supposed to be.  Some of these guys are NOT too fun to look at.

This guy didn't seem to mind being trapped, he always had a smile on his face!

Then there are the Pretty Jellies!!!  I'm not so sure they have feelings since they don't really have brains, so they may not mind floating about in a tank.

Red Star Fish - I think as long as they are stuck to some thing then they are happy...  Not sure since I've never asked... But it seems a rock is a rock? 

White Starfish... Same as above.. He didn't seem to mind the tank so much.

Now this guy was a little strange looking...   I'm pretty sure he did NOT like his tank.

I Love watching the Sea Horses... They are the most interesting little critters with so much personality.    Did you know the Male Sea Horse gives birth, not the female.. Hmm, maybe that is why I like this species.

SOME THING THAT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE

We went to the Aquarium today and saw this in case of  emergencies:

But that flotation device was in front of this:

So I'm thinking... You may need a little more then that flotation device if an emergency occured in this situation!!!

EXERCISE "BALANCE" BALL PART 2

Alright, so I decided I'm going to do this work out DVD.  It came with several of them, how hard can they be?  Its a BALL for petesake...I'm going to STRENGTHEN MY CORE!!! Surely I can do this!! 

Umm?  I think I lost my mind for good and all my dignity along with it.... and 15 minutes in to the video I wanted to throw the Big Blue Ball at the lady on my TV Screen...  "That's Beautiful" she'd say?    What's beautiful?  Because I know she's not looking in my family room..  "Thats Excellent".... How does she know?  She can't see me, and if she did, she wouldn't be saying "Excellent"  she'd be saying "What the heck are you doing woman"....

Oh and apparently my Belly Button is NOT attached to my back very well.  Oh Sigh?  And I thought it was... But then if it was, according to "Miss Beautiful Excellent", I would have no trouble balancing.  Yes... She said that your Balance comes from your belly button and attach it to your back to find your balance...

OK, Houston, We have a problem...  I have at least 30 pounds of stomach that reside just behind my belly button... And I'm pretty sure that was keeping it from touching my back, because I couldn't find my balance.  But I didn't give up.. OH NO!!  I continued on.... A glutton for punishment until my muscles took an out of body experience and Slapped me in the head.... I was determined to find my balance, with or without my belly button being able to touch my spine.... Excellent!

Just when I think I've figured this out... Found my balance, all is good, I hear,  "Excellent, now lift that leg"  But I don't have any limbs left?  One arm is over my head, the other is pointing forward, back is on the ball, Right leg is pointed out, and she says "lift your left leg"...  Um, your kidding right?... Oh No, she lifts the leg.... So I lift the leg... "Beautiful" she says...  Again, I say... Who is she talking to, because I know it can't be me. 

After 20 minutes of this, sweat pouring down my brow and my body Yelling at me "FROM THE CORE".. I hear this..

"That was an Excellent warm up, now lets begin the workout"

WHAT?????????????????????  That wasn't the workout?  OMG!!!

So 45 minutes later, a laughing Hubby, two falls and a very sore body and can say I successfully completed 2 PARTS of a single DVD... Yup still 2 more parts to go but my Core said.... Thanks but no thanks Lady!

And so I called it quits before killing my abs and breaking my thighs....  Ah!  Tomorrow is another day!

THEY KNOW ME

So sad today... I drove up to the Starbucks Order thing and before I had a chance to say anything the lady sees me in the little camera gadget and says "Well, Where have you been?"  She goes on to tell me that she hasn't seen me in a while and wanted to know if I had been going to other stores....  ummmmm..... noooooo....  *smirk*  Not me *fingers crossed*  I haven't been to a single Starbucks in weeks....*cough cough*

Actually I couldn't tell a lie... I told her that I haven't been a "trader"....  But the truth is I hadn't been driving that direction after dropping Veg off in a while...  Part of my time management thing... Not stopping in the morning saves time and money! 

So the really sad part is, that this lady NEW ME by my CAR and FACE in a silly camera gadget...I'm thinking this is a sign that I go there a tad too much on a normal basis....

BUT!!  The cool thing was that she gave me a free frozen delicious coffee Beverage!!    Maybe I'll have to stay away more often  *smile*

A BIG BLUE BALL

It is called a Ball because it is ROUND... and yet your supposed to lie on your back.... FLAT on this round thing, while keeping your feet planted FLAT on the floor in front of you (not behind you) and, stay balanced, with your hands in the air.. and don't forget to "breeeath"...

Inhale, Exhale, concentrate, balance, suck in those muscles, strengthen your core... 

Oh and DON'T KILL YOURSELF!!! 

Who in their right mind thought this was a GOOD idea? 

And yet, I buy one.... WHY did I buy one... because I need to strengthen that core!  I don't know?  Some day I guess I want to be able to hold in my urine when I cough, or make sure my abdomen doesn't fall to my knees when I laugh...  And because I like to exercise.  I got the Ball...

I did have one last year also, but it wasn't big enough so I took it back.  This one fits just right in front of my computer as a chair, but also will work for the exercising....Assuming I decide to actually do another one of those insane video routines and this is also assuming that I can Freakin' Move tomorrow after doing a 10 minute part of the video today!

KINDERGARTEN PARENTS MEETING

Wow... He's really going to be FIVE!!  I can't believe it!  Time sure does pass with a single full nights sleep... Maybe that's why Mom's don't sleep?  It makes the days drag on and time slows down.  *sigh*  But alas, time catches up with you regardless, one morning you wake up and they are FIVE... Soon I will wake up and he will be 20.

I'm not sad in anyway.. I'm so thankful for all the time I've been able to spend with him and watch him grow into such a wonderful young boy.  I look forward to waking up one day and seeing the man that he becomes.. But it still doesn't take away from the fact... He's going to be FIVE... Just strange... 

Anyway (slap, back to reality), FIVE means kindergarten... and it means that I need to make a choice between sticking with Montessori and paying monthly tuition, or switching to Public Schools.  There really is no choice for me...The choice was made clearly when Veg said last night...  "I don't care if I'm sick tomorrow or not, I want to go to my school, I want to learn"

They don't have text books at this school, they learn by doing!  They don't have tests at this school, Because the children want to constantly challenge themselves.  They don't have Desks... because they sit at tables...  They are not required to memorize things and call that learning, They learn by doing one step at a time until they have mastered the skill...  They are not told what to learn, they learn what they choose....  There are no bells unless there is a fire.  The kids aren't shuffled from subject to subject because 30 minutes has passed.  They can take as much time as they need to finish what they are working on.  (except for lunch and outside play time, of course)

So, when I went to the Parents Meeting today to learn about Kindergarten and we were shown a Binomial Cube Lesson that these kids are working on at 3& 4 & 5 years old... In case you were wondering, the Binomial cube is a puzzle method of teaching the following..(a+b)³=a³+3a²b+3ab²+b^3..... 

^{Yeah, I had no idea what this was...  But I did get the puzzle together (only by cheating and following the clues)...  This is mathematics at a whole other level.  And they ENJOY doing it.. They ask for more.....}

So, do I have a choice of Montessori vs. Public?  Of course, I do!   But is the decision a difficult one?  Absolutely NOT! 

MEXI TATERS AND BEANS

Usually when making this dish, I start with baking a potato..  While its cooking I cut up some fresh veggies and mix in a small sauce pan with a can of Vegetarian Refried beans, Lemon Juice, Taco Seasoning and garlic...

When the potato is done, I scoop some of my beanie mixture on to the potato and top with salsa... YUMMY!!!!  And soo easy and quick.... Who needs tortillas when you have potatoes in the house?  And by the way... Beans & Potatoes make a complete protein....Double Bonus!

Well today, I decided to add in a bit of the baby food veggies to sneak in a little more vitamins....  So I added the following to my Beany Mixture....  Corn, butternut Squash, Sweet Potatoes, and Spinach.... The Mexi Taters, tasted better this time then ever before...

Hubby, is eating good these days... Not sure he ever realized what he was missing while ignoring my kitchen excursions....Usually he'd eat a bowl of cereal saying he didn't want "my" stuff... But now, he's chowing down... And is probably eating healthier then he has his whole life.

And today he had to answer this question "Aren't you craving meat?"  He said "NO" and then they asked how he was getting his nutrition?  I never understood why people  think Vegetarians don't get nutrition.... But when the guy asked that question, my Hubby defended himself and me saying that Vegetarians can eat healthier then meat eaters.. and then said "My wife makes sure I get everything I need"

Awww!!!

And By the way... His last gout attack only lasted a few days... WooHoo!!! 

PAUSE IT

My son is playing video games with Hubby these days... He always played games, but now he is realllllyyyy playing video games.  Some times a bit too much for my liking, however I decided to not get my panties in a wod about it anymore. 

I mean after all, they are playing "together"... Gives them something in common, and they are closer then they've ever been.  Trying to get through boards together etc.  Also gives me time to get other things done.... Sooo... Why fuss?  Right?  Let it happen?  Fine!  I give in...

Today, Veg and I are playing a "REAL" game, you know the kind with a board and pieces and parts where you have to use your brain...  And he says "Wait Mom, Pause it, I have to run to the bathroom"

When a 41/2 year old says "PAUSE IT" to a board game.... I think that is a sign that he is playing tooo much of the other kind of game!!

MESSAGE TO MY BOSS

While putting Veg to bed tonight, he said randomly   "Hey Mom, Don't you work too hard tomorrow"

<OK>

"I mean, when you go to work tomorrow, you be sure not to work too hard OK?"

<OK>

"And only do good work, not bad work"

<OK>

"And you tell "B" that I said not to give you any hard work.. OK?>

<OK, I'll tell him>

"And tell him not to have any scary skeletons in the office because I don't want you to get scared"

<OK, I'll tell him>  hee hee

Although sadly Mr. B is no longer my boss, but that's another story... I will still tell him here (if he reads this) that Veg said I am NOT to work too hard...and scary skeletons are not allowed in the office.  *smile*  hmm?  If he only new about the squirrels... ha ha!

THE STALLING

Obviously my little guy is done with naps... But I'm just not ready to give up "relax" time yet... I saw a lady at the park once that told her 7 year old it was relax time... So I'm thinking I can get away with it until at least  age 7.

So, today it was "relax" time... And my guy is standing in the hallway...

I ask what he is doing (You would think I'd learn by now, but I still ask)...

"Being a statue"

"You'll have to carry me Mom, Statues can't walk"

He walks down the hall... again I ask what he's doing...

"trying to find a doggy"

"Because I made them a bed, ya wanna see it"

<ummm, not sure, actually>  but in the bedroom I go... 

There I find, every blanket, pillow case, sheet, water proof pad and washcloth from his cabinets piled on the floor in a very pretty square pattern....

"See Mom, isn't this a nice bed for the doggies"

Now, how can I say no?...

"Mommy, Mommy Come quick, you have to see how beautiful my room is"

UH OH...... So I run... This can't be good..... But walk in to find NOTHING out of place...  I must have looked confused because he says...

"See how beautiful, I've been dusting with pieces of Kleenex"

So I look at the Kleenex box... Yup, its filled with wadded up Kleenex from his dusting adventure.... Hey at least he was cleaning...

He actually fell asleep!!!  I couldn't believe it.....  This is why, I still haven't totally given up Nap time... There is hope?  And on top of the nap, I got a dusted room and the dogs got a very cushy place to sleep.. ha ha!

CHILI'S BLACKBEAN BURGER

Chili's has Black bean Burgers...  I new this before... But I know it even more today because Hubby went there for lunch with people from his work and guess what he ordered?  Yup!  His first Black bean Burger...  I'm so proud of him, because I wasn't even with him, but he figured out what to order and actually liked it!!

Of course they brought him a Chicken Sandwich with Black beans on top... ha ha... Welcome to my world!!!  But when he told them what he ordered, they felt horrible and brought him a free bowl of soup while he waited for his sandwich to be made.  I never get a free bowl of soup when places mess up my order...  Hmm?  He must have the magic touch!...

VEGETABLE STUFFED ZITI

This was exceptionally good today...  I make Ziti at least twice a month.  I just love it.  But today I experimented by adding some baby food jars of veggies...  This delicious pasta is Not Vegan because I did sprinkle some organic shredded cheese on the top, but that isn't necessary.  And Lil Veg ate his before adding the cheese.

Anyway, this was my sauce...

• Blended tofu w/ lemon juice, agave nectar & basil

Mix that tofu concoction with the rest of these ingredients (sorry, don't have amounts... you'll have to add what tastes good to you):

• A Jar of organic veggie Spaghetti Sauce
• Apple Cider Vinegar
• Agave nectar
• organic baby jar of spinach and carrots
• organic baby jar of sweet potatoes
• Lots of Italian spices
• Garlic Salt and Powder
• Sprinkles of Kelp Powder
• Fresh chopped garlic
• Fresh cut Orange Peppers  (normally I'd add more fresh veggies, but this is all I had)

Mix the sauce with cooked Ziti noodles, sprinkle with cheese if desired and then bake in the oven until bubbling and crunchy on top....

Double, Triple, Quadruple YUM... And VEGETARIAN....  *smile*  Gotta Love that!

VEGAN BROWNIES

I made these brownies last night from the "101 things you can do with tofu" book!!  I wasn't sure how they would turn out because I didn't have any silken tofu in the house only firm regular tofu.  So I had to add extra water, extra oil and extra apple sauce, but they did come out.  And they are actually quite tasty.

Veg, gave them a big thumbs up tonight when he had two chunks full.  Of course I don't mind because they are pure protein with the tofu laced inside....  Add nuts for even more protein...  They don't really taste gooey brownie'ish.  More like thick cake... But still Yum, none-the-less.  And Vegan!  Can't beat that!

CRAFT BLOG UPDATED

Don't forget to check out this one... CRAFT IDEAS  Hopefully I'll update it more often... When I update it often, that means I have time to craft often.  And I like having time to craft!  *smile*

RUDE WAITER

Many of you know about my pet peeves of rude restaurant people... More so, how they act toward my little guy...  It seems they finally quit saying he was a 1/2 a person, but for some reason still ask if he needs a booster seat or high chair... Hello, he's almost 5 and not overly short for his age... But alas, that I can take...

What drives me absolutely NUTTY is when the wait staff doesn't think they have to listen to him because he's a kid....  Today we went out for lunch and the waiter came to get our drinks.  Veg told him what he wanted, and even asks please, but the waiter looks at me as if Veg isn't even there and says "What would he like to drink?"  I said "he just told you what he wanted"  So the waiter said it was noisy in there and could I repeat it.   Fine so I did....

He comes back to take our order and Veg very politely tells the man what he wants.  The waiter looks at me to take my order and doesn't even look at the very polite child sitting next to me that is speaking.  I finally got annoyed and said, "He is telling you what he wants, I'll order next"  So Veg says it again...  The waiter looks at me and not him.  He then says in a rude tone "What does he want?" ...  I said in a rude tone right back "He is telling you what he wants, if you will look at him and listen"...  So the very mean waiter at this point is annoyed with me too, and looks at Veg to say "Fine, what do you want"  So Veg tells him now for the 4th time..... 

Very clear spoken and still saying Please.... The waiter had the nerve to say to my kid "Your going to have to look at people when you speak"  ummmm  Hello, he's been looking at you for the past 10 minutes and you've been blowing him off...

Obviously this could have all been avoided had I just ordered for him...  But there is no reason I should have to.  He is very much able to do so and knows exactly what he wants....  Not to mention, I would love to see the waiter talk like that to an adult some time when he can't hear them.... No - Dang it... he will take Veg's order from the mouth of Veg, or he'll stand their all freakin' day.... At this point I was in no hurry...

Finally he gets the order and leaves (probably to go spit in our food)....  Comes back with our bread, and THE CHECK...  We didn't even have our meals yet, and he was already expecting me to pay...  Hello!!!

Hubby arrives at the table to eat with us, and within minutes the now very sweet and kind Waiter brings out our food, being very sweet and kind.   

Veg looks at me and says "Wow, That waiter must be having a better day now that Daddy is here, because he is being much nicer" 

ha ha!! 

CHANGING SHEETS

Today during Veg's relax time I heard some more ruckas going on, when I went to check on him, all his blankets and pillows were on the floor.

Do I dare ask?  Of course...

<Why are your blankets and pillows on the floor?>

He runs to grab the corner of his fitted sheet, pulls it up and says "I was helping you"

<How were you helping me?>

"I'm taking everything off my bed, so you will have an easier time the next time you want to change my sheets"

Ah, Of course!!

Moes has Tofu...  You know those burrito places popping up all over the place... There is one on just about every corner in our town.. but ONLY MOES has TOFU!    And man is it good!!

Hubby surprised himself today when he said this outloud  "I'm craving Moe's Tofu"  ha ha...

Who would have thunk, MY HUBBY would be asking for Tofu!!   umm?  Let alone Craving it!

ha ha.....  The veggie revolution is here in the Veg house and it is GOOD!  *smile*

IN A DREAM

Veg was supposed to be napping (or relaxing as he calls it) but I heard him jumping around the room and dancing and singing, etc. 

So I walked in and asked what he was doing....

With a straight face he jumps up and says "Sleeping"

<I don't think your sleeping because I can see and hear you walking around>

"Mom, I'm really sleeping"

<Then how are you talking to me right now>

"Thats my dream"

<what?>

"Yeah, I'm in a dream right now..... and in my dream I'm sleeping, but I'm dreaming about doing this Star Wars Move"

<So your doing the Star Wars move in the dream, but your really sleeping>

"Yup, you got it"

....... alrighty then.......

ADD A HUG TO THAT LIST

Veg knows all about my lists these days.. In fact when he runs out of something he says "Mom, don't forget to put it on your list"

Well this morning I cut his hair and then his nails, and said "Great, I can check these off my list"

Veg Promptly tells me that I forgot something very important on my list...  I need a Kiss and a Hug... 

"Here Mom, go put a kiss and a hug on your list, and then come back so I can give you those things, and then you can scratch them off your list"

Awwwww!!!

I'm thinking I need to put that on my list every day!  *smile*  Wonder if that will still work when he is 16 and can't stand me....  "Sorry Son, its on the list, you have to give me a hug today"  ha ha!

VEGAN KRISPIE TREATS

I know I've posted about these before, but it was a long time ago and worthy of a recap...

Vegan Krispie Treats.... Yummmmmm!!!!!!!!!

For those of you that still don't know... Regular Marshmallows are not Vegan...  They do have a lovely variety of Animal skin, bone and hoofs in them, in case your in to that kind of thing.   Personally I like the rice version!  And it is soooo Good!

MEANT TO BE HERBIVORE

I came across this blog, not sure how really called My Crunchy Life and she had this You Tube video, which cracked me up... there is a cuss word and a couple gross spots, but in general it is pretty funny!  Or at least I think it is.. hee hee

PROTEIN AND GOOD FAT SMOOTHIE

This morning's Smoothie was one of my favorites yet...  And I'm pretty excited to note that Veg and Hubby liked it too... Because it was full of Protein, Good Omega Fats and other healthy nutrients....

• All Natural Peanut Butter (the kind with the oil mixed in)
• Chocolate Silk Soy Milk
• Jar of organic baby food carrots
• Ground Flax Seed
• Vanilla Soy Ice Cream

I was missing my usual Banana but Veg said it still smelled (he has to smell everything now) and tasted the same.  I guess the carrots filled in for the missing bananas.   But all I can say is YUMmmmmm!!!

NO BIGGIE

Veg said - "Sorry Daddy, that was an accident"

Hubby said - "Thats OK, No Biggie"

Veg asks - "Whats a Biggie?"

Ha Ha - Explain that one!    Hubby looks at me and I said... "Nope, its all you"
