The beach was shelly like we remember the Atlantic Being... Not soft white sands like the Gulf. But hard, very hard sand... And not at all the kind that whisks off your feet when you walk like the Gulf Sand... NO, This Atlantic stuff was stuck for life.... Just look at Veg's toes...
As for me? I think I will be finding sand particles where the sun don't shine from now until the year 3000.
But it was pretty, and we were the only people for what seemed like miles...
Veg said "Oh Mom, just look at this Sea Side" ha ha... He found his first stash of shells... We only planned to walk since it was evening... But then our little man fell in the ocean, when his foot sunk and a wave came... Hubby caught him, And Veg said, "LETS DO THAT AGAIN"... He was soaked! But soooo happy!!
Suddenly a storm blew in and off we went!!! (OUR ONLY Rain of the trip, by the way)... And when it got windy... It really got windy... I thought this tree was going to blow over. We had to hold Veg, or he would have blown in to the ocean.
Hubby decided NOT to put shoes on while walking back to the hotel when the storm blew in.... HUBBY stepped on glass.... OUCH!! There was blood... Hubby did not having such a good first day...
Day 2 --- Hubby purchased some beach shoes... FIRST THING....
Oh did I mention, he didn't pack his because he "DIDN'T NEED THEM?".... Note to self.... ALWAYS pack beach/deck/pool type shoes..... Saves you a trip to Target while on vacation.
(Not that I don't need an excuse to go to Target.... But when my choices are Beach or Shopping... I will choose the beach.... No offense to Target!)
